A country's greatness depends largely upon the people in it and their unity and public spirit. A great government is one which carries out the will, and carries forward the hopes of all the people. A great government is not a government which acts merely in the interest of the majority, and deals ruthlessly with the minorities. A great government is representative of all people. It does not rule for one group, against others. Racial, sectional, religious and all other factional interest are subordinated to the commonweal, the common welfare.
A wise government utilizes all the resources, energies, and interests of the country for the purposes of the nation. A wise government will in every way promote unity, association ---not deeper separation. A wise government builds up, all through the nation, a sense of security, satisfaction, contentment and hope. That is what makes for civic morale, public spirit, loyalty. A wise government never posters, directly or indirectly, envies, prejudices, hostilities. That way lies national destruction.
We are all members of the same community; what happens to one, happens to all. ( Pres. Elpidio Quirino ).

" Philippines, Pliant like the Bamboo "
How strong Philippines is ? Our Filipino people have many outstanding trails in national character.Even us, may from our personal opinions, based on our experiences.
It is described that Philippines is like a bamboo tree. It is wiser than other robust trees.Because when the wind blew its hardest, it know it was not so strong as the same trees. But every time the wind blew, it bent its head gracefully. It made loud protestation but it let the wind have its way. When finally the wind got tired blowing the bamboo tree still stood in all its beauty and grace.
The Filipino is also like the bamboo tree, he bends his head gracefully with many loud protestations when there are invaders invaded him. Liked the Spaniards came and dominated him for more than 300 years, the Americans and the Japanese. And after all the Filipinos still stood-only much richer in experiences and culture. The Filipino embraced all the way of life more readily than the invaders. Even the Invaders came like a storm, the Filipino learned to bow his head low, that made all enemies folded their own ways.

"Heritage"
"Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan ay hindi makakarating sa paroroonan", the old saying in the national language.
Even us, must admit that for all our good intentions, our handling of Tagalog can be quite rough at times -it means that for those who doesn't look back to where he came from he cannot reach his destination. That is the literal meaning. It also means that the sensible traveler who wishes to reach his goal must not cut himself off from nourishing contract with his origins: he must follow faithfully the course he has set for himself from beginning to end. As applied to a nation in process of growth and progress, it means that the experience gained in the past must be used as a compass to steer safely through the maze of the present and on into the uncharted future. The national heritage must not be wasted.

"Philippines,My Philippines"
What does the word "country" mean to each of us? It is more than the physical boundaries of seas, coasts and mountains. It means more than a stretch of land.It is more than proud throbbing of our hearts when the national anthem is played and the national colors pass by.
It is our pride in our past, our enjoyment of the present, our hopes for the future. The past is link with our heroes and great men, with our customs and traditions. Our country is the land "where our fathers died", and it is the land where we ourselves will be buried. We love it because every stone or tree or hill in it has a history or is connected with something we remember with pleasure.
"Love of country".It is knowledge of everything important, and interesting about our country and our people. It is doing our duties as citizens of the present. It is readiness to serve our neighbors, and also it is helping our country progress so that our children will be happy living in it in the future. It is faith in our ability to make its future brighter.it is hope for the next generation.
This is our Philippines. We invite you to know more about it, and love it more.

“Philippines the Home of Proud Filipinos”
.jpg)
More on that, Philippine
is is now engaged in calamities. There are Filipino families living in a hell
life, the poorest among the poor, but still Filipinos believe that someday
everything will change, but others think it is an impossible dream. Everything will change, they say, from the
biggest problems into the smallest one. Filipino people did not lose hope. They
are still waiting for a change.
